Preformulation Research Associate - Contract - Cambridge, MA

ÈËÆÞÉÙ¸¾ÂÒ×ÓÂ×ÎÞÂëÊÓƵרÇø is seeking a Preformulation Research Associate for a contract role based in Cambridge, MA. This position is part of the Formulation Sciences group within Technical Operations, focusing on pre-clinical development. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in pharmaceutical sciences or related fields who are eager to grow their expertise in preclinical formulation development.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to early drug development processes, leveraging analytical techniques and supporting preformulation and physicochemical characterization efforts.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutics, chemical engineering, or material sciences.
• Familiarity with the discovery and development interface is desirable but not required.
• Experience working with common excipients and volumetric glassware.
• Proficiency with UPLC-HPLC and Empower software.
• Interest in and willingness to learn more about small molecule and preclinical formulation development.

The Preformulation Research Associate's responsibilities will be:

• Prepare buffers and common laboratory solutions.
• Conduct analytical experiments using XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, optical microscopy, and UPLC-HPLC Empower.
• Screen excipients and formulation vehicles for solubility and stability to optimize preclinical formulations for non-GLP and GLP studies.
• Perform drug substance and formulation stability studies to support optimal formulation design.
• Coordinate vehicle and formulation preparations for in vivo studies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant laboratory notebooks.
